Valentine’s Day is all about showing love. What better way to show your child love than by snuggling up on the couch to read Valentine’s Day books?

Usually when you think about Valentine’s Day, you think about romantic love, but love is so much more than romance. Take this time to teach your child about love for others and love for themselves. Many of the Valentine’s Day books below are about finding ways to show your love to others, but some are about finding the love that is already around you.

Look for love outside of yourself. Spend time in nature and search for ways that nature shows love for you and the things in nature. For example, a flower shows love to a bee by letting it take it’s nectar, but the bee shows it’s love for the flower by being a pollinator. Love is all around us. Use this Valentine’s Day to search for it. You won’t have to look very far.

To help you get started, here’s a list of 50 of the best Valentine’s Day books to share your love.
